Part 1:
Model some division word problems on the board. E.g. I have 20 toys and three friends and myself that want to play with them.
1) It's better if we share them equally between ourselves
2) It's better if we get 6 each.
Which one of these statements is correct/possible. HOW DO YOU KNOW?
Part 2:
Division worksheets on the whiteboard. Almost all need to finish their problem solving from yesterday (the question about the 24 cupcakes) with reasons to explain which situation is correct/better. There are spares for those away.
